There has been some speculation in the press regarding my coaching team and I would like to take this opportunity to announce a change within my current coaching team and set up.
Josh Eagle will be overseeing my tennis as my coach both on the road and in Australia, with Todd Larkham running things from Canberra although I hope I can travel with them both at key events. My strength and conditioning will continue to be organised and delivered by AK (Aaron Kellett).
My desire to be at home more in Canberra, when I am not at tournaments has driven me to make the decision for change within my team. This decision is something I have made myself and was decided and conversed to everyone prior to the French Open and in light of my recent success it is obviously not a decision I have taken lightly.
My deepest thanks go to Simon Rea who has been nothing but a steady, calm and positive influence on me. My time with Simon was an incredibly special time for us both and I learned and achieved a lot thanks to Simon and I will be forever grateful for his input and drive to improve my game. We both knew going in to Wimbledon that it would be our last event working together and in some ways, to sign off with a quarter final appearance was a special reward and a fitting end. Not only is Simon a great coach but he is a great person and I wish him all the best in the next phase of his coaching career.
My next event will be the Toronto ATP 1000 event in early August and until then I will be working with my team in a training block in both Melbourne and Canberra.
Thanks for your understanding and continued support.
