NK Granted French Open WC

NK is headed to Paris

Nick Kyrgios has been granted a wild card for the second straight year in to the French Open courtesy of the wild card swap agreement that is in places between the Australian, American and French tennis federations. Nick will play his second main draw at Roland Garros having beaten Radek Stepanek in round one in 2013 before falling to top tenner Marin Cilic.

John Morris who is Nick’s agent was pleased with the announcement from Tennis Australia “This is great news, Nick is fully deserving of the wild card having showed what he is capable of in Paris last year, Nick has continued to back it up the past 12 months and has the recent form to stake a claim too, so its a smart and natural decision on TA’s part as Nick is clearly one of the best prospects in the men’s game and will go out on the court in Paris and give it his all and no doubt entertain and inspire.”

The main draw for Roland Garros kicks off on the 25th May with qualifying starting on Tuesday 20th May 2014.
