The revolutionary IPTL which was the brainchild of Indian doubles legend Mahesh Bhupathi is entering in to its second year and with that comes the mandatory draft that was conducted recently, seeing the good and the great of the WTA and ATP tours thrown in to a mixing pot for selectors to choose their best possible teams.
Nick who was part of the Singapore Slammers last year was picked once again with the Slammers alongside Novak Djorkovic, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Carlos Moya, Karolina Pliskova, Belinda Bencic and Marcelo Melo, a team that has a great chance of lifting the 2015 title and something Nick is all to aware of “I am stoked to be part of the Slammers again, I had a great experience in 2014 and I can not wait to welcome my new team mates to my Slammers. It’s a shame we have lost some of our previous team members but that’s the nature of team sports and having a draft but we have a team very capable of lifting the title. I haven’t spent much time with Novak, Carlos, Karolina, Belinda or Marcelo and I look at it as a great opportunity to learn from them too, throw in to the mix Thanners being on the team and we are in for a great ride.”
The IPTL season is scheduled for the 2nd to the 20th December with stars such as Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams taking part.
